There are many different types or Cornice/ Coving Moulding types and materials to suit each household and budget, while I always strongly advise to my clients to use the traditional fibrous plaster Cornice that is handmade with plaster of Paris, canvas and timber, I understand that doesn't fit everyone’s budget so I do also fit gyproc cove/ polyester Mouldings also.
Most commonly used on new builds and homes that would like a modern fresh look!
A very popular choice at the moment and goes with modern and traditional homes
For homes that want their mouldings to be in keeping with the time period their home was built in.
Typically used in master bedrooms, dining and living rooms however this is not always the case.
We install a lot of coving in new build low ceiling flats but also many homes that want cover cable, pipes or blemishes in the ceiling use this as it is cost effective.
Looks great in all homes particularly traditional houses. It also compliments the cornice. These should always be fitted by specialists like ourselves!
